How often should I use my products?

Everyday, rain or shine - Even when it’s cloudy. UV rays are pouring down on us from all angles, affecting our skin at the cellular level and leading to signs of photoaging. In fact, the main cause of photoaging is day to day exposure to low intensity UV that doesn't result in any redness or irritation of our skin. The best way to counter this is to use your morning moisturizer every morning and the evening cream at the end of every day.


Where can I apply the sunscreen?

The sunscreen is designed for your face and neck.


Should I wear other sunscreens with this product?

Our sunscreen will protect you wherever you apply it and as long as you follow the instructions on application and continue to reapply. For extended sporting events or situations where you may sweat profusely or be in the water, we recommend using a water resistant sunscreen.


Is your sunscreen waterproof?

No, our sunscreen is not water resistant. If you will be in the water or sweating profusely for an extended period of time, please apply a water resistant sunscreen. After you have completed your event or activity, you can re-apply the Sonne Morning to your face and neck.


Do you test your products on animals?

None of our products are tested on animals.


Is your product, natural, organic, and/or vegan?

The morning moisturizer is a natural sunscreen, meaning we use zinc oxide as the main sunscreen active ingredient. They both contain natural ingredients but are not 100% natural. Both products are paraben, phthalate, and sulfate free. They are both also vegan and gluten-free. Neither are tested on animals. The products are not certified organic.


What’s the difference between natural and chemical sunscreens?

Natural sunscreens use minerals such as zinc and titanium oxide, that serve as protective barriers to scatter UV rays without ever letting them absorb into your skin. Chemical sunscreens are designed to absorb into the skin and absorb the UV rays, re-emitting them as infrared rays.


Can all skin types use Sonne?

Yes, Sonne is designed to be used on all skin types. Like any product, be sure to spot test on a non-sensitive area, like your arm, first.


The sunscreen feels heavy, is this normal?

Natural sunscreens, unlike chemical ones, are not designed to be absorbed, so you will feel the cream on your skin a little longer. This feeling will wear off with continued use as you get accustomed to the natural sunscreen.


I’m pushing the bottle but nothing is coming out!

These are airless bottles so it will take several pumps at the start when you first open your package to get it started. After that, each pump will deliver product to your fingers.


Can I use other other products with this?

Yes, Sonne is designed to be a basic part of your skin care regimen. Other products can be applied on top or underneath, including makeup. In fact, the sunscreen serves as a great primer.


Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

Yes, go to your account page where you can pause, restart, or cancel your subscription.


What if I have pre-existing skin conditions?

If you have any existing dermatological conditions, please speak with your doctor prior to starting any skin product or regimen.


Does the product reduce the risk of skin cancer?

Yes, according to SkinCancer.org, use of a daily sunscreen of at least an SPF 15 broad spectrum protection can reduce the risk of skin cancer significantly if applied properly and according to instructions on the bottle.
